Bankruptcy Collection

Once you are aware that a debtor has filed for bankruptcy, you must stop all collection activity. However, depending on the type of case filed and other factors, there still may be a chance for recovery. It is advisable that you contact a creditors’ rights attorney who also handles bankruptcy matters as soon as possible. (See our blog, “One of my debtors filed for bankruptcy! Is there any hope to collect? What do I do next?”)
